1964 Chevrolet Chevelle

The first year for this car was relatively tame. As a new car it had little performance options. Although you could order an SS model the top power offering was a 230hp 283cid motor. Later in the first production year the 327cid became an option. However, this mid-weight would need much more power to be truly considered a muscle car.
