1969 Chevrolet Chevelle

The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle received new tail lights but otherwise remained
the same. However, there were some changes to the powertrain offerings and the
models. Now, the SS option was available on lower end models such as the 300
Deluxe and Malibu.
Models:
Base, convertible, Malibu (high decorative options), 300 Deluxe
Super Sport (SS): 325hp 396cid standard motor, 2 other 396 options
(L34,L78) available, chrome wheel moldings, SS396 badges, twin bulge
hood, heavy duty suspension.
Beaumont: Canadian option - essentially a pontiac styled grill
and dash. Otherwise the same as and SS with the exception of the
badging which stated SD-396.
COPO: A very rare but possible option for the Chevelle which is similar to
the 1969 Camaro option for a factory
installed 427cid motor. Basically they were built on SS396 cars but did not
have any badging. These were the ultimate Chevelle!
