On January 10th, 2006 Chevrolet unveiled the Concept Camaro to
the world. Muscle car fans, both new and old, have taken great interest
in this potential offering. Chevrolet is attempting to satisfy the
classic muscle car fans and newer buyers with a blended style of
nostalgia and modern design. Did they meet their goal? It's too
early to tell, but public reception and interest has been high.
The Camaro will not be alone in 2008 as Dodge will unveil their
all new Dodge
Challenger.
This all new 2009 Chevrolet Camaro will incorporate some of the
memorable styling highlights from the 1969
Camaro as well as offer the comfort, reliability, and power of
a modern muscle car.
Keeping with the past the Camaro is slated to incorporate a four
gauge instrument cluster on the console. These squared guages will
include oil, battery, fuel, and temperature guages as found in many
GM Super Sport vehicles of the 1960's. Similarly, the dash will
feature large tachometer and speedometer gauges which will be inset
into the dash. The convertible version will feature Hugger Orange
accent stiching on the seats.
Under the hood of the 2009 Camaro is a 400hp 6.0 liter LS2 V8.
The Camaro will be offered in automatic or standard transmission.
The suspension of the Camaro will include four wheel independent
suspension, oversized tires and rims (20-22inch), and of course
will be rear wheel drive.
