1968 Ford Mustang
The 1968 Ford Mustang had relatively few changes from the 1967
model year. The grill was slightly revised to include vertical bars
and incorporated chrome trim around the grill. The real changes
were under the hood as Ford introduced a 427 in the mustang GT.
Models:
Hardtop, convertible, fastback
GT: Included several motor options, new stylized wheels, dual exhaust
tips, C side stripe, and gt badges on the fenders. Available with
427cid motor.
California Special (CS): Shelby styled fog lamps, fascia, and side
scoops. This model was reintroduced in the 2007 Ford Mustang lineup.
It features the same CS elements made famous in 1968 plus some engine
dress items.
Shelby GT-350: The 289 was replaced with the 302 motor. Convertible
an option.
Shelby GT-500 / GT 500KR: Cars used Thunderbird taillights and
different fog lamps. Motor was 428cid. Convertible an option.
