1971 - 1973 Ford Mustang
The automotive world would soon change drastically due to new safety
and emissions standards. Despite a looming gas crisis the new Mustang
was restyled and grew to it's biggest size ever. This era would
see the virtual end of the performance mustang. Well, at least until
the mid 1980's when the high output 302 was introduced.
1971 Ford Mustang
The 1971 Ford Mustang was completely restyled from the previous
years. These cars were longer, wider, and heavier. However, they
still retained the important styling elements of their predecessors.
Some believed that Ford intended to evolve the mustang into a high
performance luxury car. Fortuneatly, the big block was still available.
